Dotty’s primary focus in her painting is the Central Coast landscape. Her love of the hills, oaks trees, seasonal green or gold grasses and the coastal cliffs is evident in her paintings whether working in her studio or outside ‘en plein air. Her work in pastel, oil and watercolor has been displayed and won awards in local, regional and national juried shows. She is a Signature Member of several professional societies and her paintings have been featured in nationally distributed publications such as WATERCOLOR Magazine, INTERNATIONAL ARTIST MAGAZINE and in “SPLASH 5: The Glory of Color”.

Dotty has participated in the Plein Air Painting Festivals of the San Luis Obispo Art Center and is also active in SLOPE (San Luis Outdoor Painters for the Environment) in their yearly shows benefiting environmental organizations in her concern for protecting the beauty of the Central Coast. 

Dotty’s work can be seen at the Gallery at the Network of which she is co-owner as well as Old Pueblo Gallery and Framing in Tucson, Arizona.
