A trained eye is required to recover the best grain, color and texture from a piece of wood.  As a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, woodturning became E. Burton Miller’s main creative outlet.  With his passion for perfection and accuracy in his profession coupled with his appreciation for artistic beauty, he is able to achieve award winning turnings that are simple but finely detailed using techniques and designs on woods from around the world. He finds great satisfaction in using woods that were destined to be burned or buried.

He feels discovering woods with character and color are kin to an expedition searching for gold. Burton's techniques and artistry known as “Miller Magic” are celebrated from the Pacific to the Alps. He will create a “Dream Turning for you.
